Beginning with Reconstruction, this course examines the "unfinished revolution" that followed the Civil War up until the travails of the present.

History of the world from the Agricultural Revolution to the Medieval Period. Includes coverage of ancient civilizations, the Silk Roads and Indian Ocean Trading Network, and development of world religions.


Global Civilizations II

From the Scientific Revolution and the Renaissance to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the arrival of the information age.


Western Civilizations II

Unlike Global Civilizations II, this course exclusive covers the history of Europe and North America from the Renaissance to the Modern Era.


American Women's History until 1960

The history of women and gender issues from the precolonial period until 1960.


American Migration History

This course explores the arrival of immigrants to the United States from 1800 to the present day, as well as Western Expansion, the Great Migration, and other internal migrations within US territory.


American Foodways History

The culture, meaning, ingredients, and science of American food from the precolonial period to the present day.


The American Civil War

An in-depth exploration of the Civil War including its cause, military campaigns, social and cultural impacts, and an exploration of its memory.
